I was in the right place at the right time…
The story started for me back in October 2018 when I went to a birthday party for a special lady at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane, London.
I was sitting on a table with British Film Director, Deborah Hadfield and we started chatting about a film she was working on. It transpired that she already had a composer but no-one to play the piano, so naturally, I jumped at the chance and offered to get involved!
After several meetings with her and some of the crew, one wet November day, with my portable baby grand piano packed into my car, I turned up at what I can only describe as a ‘warehouse’ building in Derby. We spent the day recording – it was an amazing and fascinating experience!
The film is called ‘We Too’, both written and directed by Deborah Hadfield.
It’s about an autistic boy and his Father who returns from war with PTSD help each other find peace with the help of martial arts and music.
As a man Rob also learns to follow his heart when he finds a woman who loves him just as he is.
You can find out more information about the cast and crew over on IMDb
The film is due to be showcased next week at the Canne Film Festival 2019 and I will be there for 3 1/2 days!
I cannot contain my excitement.
It seems I may get an opportunity to showcase some of my own work, or at least play at some stage. If you would to follow my activities whilst I am there, please head over and like my Facebook Page, where I plan to post updates and possibly, on a couple of occasions go live!
Thank you again Deborah for inviting me to be part of this amazing experience.
